This Privacy Policy explains how connect.shortfundly.com (“Shortfundly”, “we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use Shortfundly Connect(the “Connect” platform). By using Connect, you agree to this Policy.

What We Collect

• Account & Identity: name, email, profile photo, role/title, preferred language, optional links (website, social), and team/organization if provided.
• Profile & Portfolio: bios, credits, skills/tags, reels, headshots, posters, resumes/EPKs, availability, location (city/region), and any media you upload.
• Listings & Workflows: casting/job posts, applications, bookings, recommendations/endorsements, calendar entries, and status updates (e.g., applied, shortlisted).
• Messaging & Interactions: message metadata (timestamps, participants), limited content processing for safety/reporting and abuse prevention, reactions, and connection requests.
• Verification (optional): documents or signals you submit to verify identity/credits, plus review outcomes (we minimize sensitive data and store only what’s needed).
• Usage & Device: pages viewed, search and discovery actions, IP address, timestamps, approximate location, device/browser type, cookies/SDK events, diagnostics.
• Plans, Payments & Invoices (if enabled): plan tier, invoices, payment status and gateway metadata; we do not store full card numbers.
• Support & Communications: tickets, emails, feedback, notifications preferences, policy acknowledgments.

How We Use Information

• Create and maintain your account and public/semipublic profile.
• Enable discovery: search, recommendations, listings, and matching features.
• Support messaging, applications, bookings, endorsements, and community safety.
• Operate, secure, debug, and improve Connect; prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
• Process payments, manage subscriptions/quotas, and provide invoices/receipts (if enabled).
• Send important service messages (security, feature changes, policy updates).
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

AI-Assisted Features (If You Use Them)

Connect may include AI features (e.g., profile suggestions, message drafting, job matching). Inputs/outputs may be processed to return results and to detect abuse/quality issues. Unless stated otherwise in product settings, we do not use your private inputs/outputs to train publicly-available models. We may aggregate and anonymize telemetry to improve our systems.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK where applicable)

Contract performance (providing Connect), legitimate interests (security, discovery, improvement), consent where required (certain cookies/marketing), and legal obligations (tax, accounting, fraud).

Data Visibility & Sharing

• Public/Discoverable Profile: elements of your profile may be visible to other users to enable networking and casting. You can edit or remove content you control.
• Applications & Listings: information in an application is shared with the poster; listing details are visible to users based on product rules and your settings.
• Messaging: messages are shared with conversation participants. We may scan or review content when flagged/reported to enforce safety and policy.
• Service Providers: hosting, analytics, storage, payments, email, moderation, and support—bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.
• Integrations/Partners (Optional): if you enable third-party integrations or distribution/services, we share only what’s needed to fulfill that feature.
• Legal & Safety: to comply with law or protect users, our rights, and the platform.
• Business Transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

Your Choices & Controls

• Edit your profile, media, and visibility settings.
• Manage notifications and communication preferences.
• Disconnect optional integrations at any time (future data flow stops; prior sharing may persist per the partner’s terms).

Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide Connect, for legitimate business needs, and to meet legal/contractual requirements. Certain records (e.g., invoices, abuse reports) may be kept longer where required by law or for safety, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.

Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., encryption at rest/in transit where appropriate, role-based access, logging, and abuse detection). No system is 100% secure—please protect your credentials and be cautious with what you share in messages and applications.

International Transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual clauses) for international transfers.

Your Rights

• Access, correct, update, or delete your personal data (subject to legal exceptions).
